Location
Ruby Manor is located on 2 acres of prime real estate on the corner of Heavy Tree Road and Ruby Place. The home is a beautiful 57 bed residence and boasts a number of features.
The location is at the junction of the north and south access to the Harbour Arterial (Pitts Memorial Drive) which allows for quick and convenient access to downtown St. John’s, via Pitts Memorial Drive and the Health Sciences Complex via the Outer Ring Road.
This scenic piece of property is just a few hundred feet from Pitts Memorial Drive and the Goulds Bypass Road. This provides easy (and quick) access for the emergency vehicles, visiting relatives, and staff.
The residence is situated close to the border where the City of St. John’s meets the City of Mount Pearl. The location places us in the heart of the major population centre of Newfoundland. We are minutes away from many amenities including medical centres, dental clinics, churches, banks, and shopping centres (2.2 Km from Pearlgate Shopping Centre).
The Residence
Ruby Manor is a level I and II and enhanced care government licensed retirement home. Consisting of 57 beds, 45 private rooms and 6 semiprivate rooms each with its own washroom. It is nestled on 2 acres of land that has a character and charm all of its own. The area is very peaceful and serene; just the type of environment we seek out in our retirement years. Ruby Manor is surrounded by fields of green grass, flowing rivers, and flowering trees.
This modern well maintained home is tastefully decorated throughout with modern furnishings, fireplaces and accessories, all designed by an interior decorator, and supplied by one of St. John’s finest furniture stores. Ruby Manor has a beauty parlour, library with internet service, and large common areas to lounge or socialize with fellow residents, family, or friends.

OUR TEAM
Roger has deep running ties to the community and the land having grown up on Ruby Line. His family have operated farming here for 200 years. He is a millwright and welder by trade and worked in that field until the home was opened. Roger’s strongest attributes are his work ethic and people skills. He takes the time and interest in people to get to know where they are from, what they did and what is important to them.

Daphne is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 20 years’ invaluable experience. She grew up in and around Personal Care Homes as her parents owned and operated one since she was just 4 years old. She worked in that family-owned home until completing her education and beginning her career in Long Term Care. Daphne takes great pride in the reputation and operation of the manor and is dedicated to ensuring that the residents of Ruby Manor receive the best possible care.
